Welcome to Oak Hill First School

A very warm welcome to Oak Hill First School.

I feel incredibly proud to be the Principal of our school. Oak Hill is a lovely community, full of children and adults who care about each other and want to do their very best.

For us, it starts with knowing our children. We want every child who comes through our doors to feel safe, happy and that they truly belong. We want them to know that we believe in them, and to leave us with happy memories, strong foundations and the confidence to take on whatever comes next.

We are ambitious for our children, but we know that school is about so much more than academic success. We want children to be curious, ask questions, have a go and sometimes get things wrong. We want them to discover what they are good at, develop their interests and learn what it means to be kind, thoughtful and responsible.

Our staff care deeply about the children they work with. We do not expect every child to be the same, and we know that sometimes children need different things from us in order to flourish.

Our families are an important part of Oak Hill too. We want parents and carers to feel that this is their school, that they know us and can talk to us. We will listen, be honest and work together to do what is best for our children.

We are proud to be part of Central Region Schools Trust. Being part of a wider family of schools gives us opportunities to share, learn and improve, while remaining proud of what makes Oak Hill, Oak Hill.

If you are thinking about joining us, please come and see us. A website can tell you lots of things, but it cannot quite capture the feeling of a school. Come and meet our children and staff, have a look around and get a sense of us for yourself.
