Starting Reception in September 2027

Oak Hill First School is an academy within Central Region Schools Trust. The Trust is the admissions authority for the school, and applications for Reception places are coordinated through your home local authority. For families living in Worcestershire, this is Worcestershire County Council.

Our Published Admission Number (PAN) is 90, which means we have places for up to 90 children joining Reception each September.

Key dates for September 2027

  • Applications opened: 1 September 2026
  • Closing date: 15 January 2027
  • National Offer Day: 16 April 2027

Families living in Worcestershire should apply online through Worcestershire County Council:

Moving to Oak Hill during the school year

Our Admissions Policy

Our Admissions Policy explains how places at Oak Hill are allocated, including what happens if there are more applications than places available.

https://www.oakhillfirstschool.org.uk/page/?title=Policies&pid=41

For Reception 2027, where there are more applications than places available, the policy sets out the school's oversubscription criteria, including priority for looked-after and previously looked-after children, siblings, children living within the catchment area and then other applicants.

Appeals

If your child is not offered a place at Oak Hill, you have the right to appeal the decision.

Information about the appeals process, including the relevant timescales and how to submit an appeal, will be provided following the allocation of places.

Find out more about school admission appeals

If you need help understanding the admissions or appeals process, please contact the school office. We can explain the process and point you towards the appropriate information, although the school cannot advise families about the likely outcome of an individual appeal.
