Our commitment to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) teaching goes beyond compliance; it is rooted in our belief that every child deserves an opportunity to learn and thrive. At Oak Hill, we want every child, whatever their unique abilities, flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
We aim to provide a curriculum that reflects the rich tapestry of our community. We are a large, vibrant school with three classes in each year group and a nursery class. Our staff ensure that all children, including those with SEND, can actively engage with and access the curriculum. Adaptive approaches, support and challenge will be embedded in our teaching, allowing each child to progress from their starting point and overcome any barriers to learning.
In embracing this vision for inclusive SEND teaching, we aim to empower every child to reach their potential, fostering a sense of belonging, care, and achievement for all. Together, we will create an educational community that reflects the true spirit of inclusivity and sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning and success.
